My granddaugher has loved doing the projects. She is 9 years old, and did the first few with help from her dad, but now she does them alone. She looks forward to each new kit, and proudly shows me how she did them and can usually explain the science behind them.
My other granddaughter, age 11, gets the chemistry kits, which she enjoys. I have a chemistry background, so we do them together. I am impressed with the stress on safety in each of the labs, and I purchased extra gloves, and ordered goggles so she will be used to them later in school.

Hello, I have subscribed to MEL SCIENCE having 2 boys aged 2 & 5 just trying to see what it was about. We fell in love with it. I know the boxes are more suitable for older kids, but the experiments work just fine even with small kids. They are happy to assist are always amazed by chemical reactions. I can't get them focus on painting or any art activity, but they are happy to sit still with MEL SCIENCE!
